About memories...

Hello Friends,

If you are a fan of American Idol as I am you will remember this one contestant when she said 'when I was growing up we were poor, but I didn't know we were poor'. That struck a cord with me as I listened to her story and it reminded me how sheer determination sometimes is the very thing that helps you beat the odds and find success. As much as anything else she was simply honest and humble about her struggles and I found myself hoping she would make it through which she did.

It was a reminder once again that the true success of our life is not measured by our work success; rather it is measured by the person we become and those who love us. While it’s important we reach for our goals it should never be at the expense of our health or with lack of time available to us for the things that matter most. It’s important to continually focus on our priorities and know with certainty we will not be remembered for the job we held but more on how we lived our life and the difference we made in the lives of others. It’s been a memorable week. Until next time…
